The other day I met up with my best friend in the entire universe for lunch. Like friends of over twenty years often do, we began by dishing about what is going on in each others lives. She is getting married this year so much of the conversation involves her babbling on about wedding colors, belts for wedding dresses, clips to go in your hair, hair styles, spray tans, bridesmaid dresses and anything else that is painfully pleasant to listen to in this time in her life.
When she told me she needed to get some jewelry repair performed on her grandmother's pearls so she could wear them on the big day, I gave her some advice in where to find quality jewelry repair services and how much to expect to pay. Maybe this little project will distract her from flower arrangements and ordering wedding dresses and the stress that adds to her life.
